Asha Kishan hails from Mysore, royal city of Karnataka. She did her Bachelor of Science and Post-Graduation in HRM from Mysore University and went on to work for L &T. Right from a very young age, she has been passionate about teaching, something she took to even when she herself was doing her graduation. She has been passionate about imparting knowledge on others from a very young age. She was introduced to yoga and its benefits after her marriage and started deeply appreciating the benefits of yoga. When the right opportunity came by, she grabbed it with both hands and aligned her two passions - ‘Teaching’ and ‘Yoga’. Asha did her Yoga Instructor Course (YIC) at Yogabharati in 2016. She has been a part of Yogabharati family as an eager student of yoga, as a karyakarta and as a teacher for the past 5 years. She went on to complete Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy from VYASA in 2019. She has also done her prenatal yoga certification from VYASA under the guidance of Dr. Nagaratna and Dr. Lata Venkatram.
She believes in the phrase ‘Yogah Sarva Roga Nivaranam’ and strives to give a holistic healing session to the participants. She is organised and motivated to grow in the field of yoga. She feels that she is always a student of yoga and constantly updates herself with how to tweak practices to suit everyone. She has got good anatomical knowledge and strives to help participants to focus on alignment, breathing and awareness aspects of the posture. She is an expert in communicating the idea to a wide range of people, empathises with people of different abilities and has experience in handling multilevel group of students. She conducts group general and therapy sessions for all age groups, with a focus on senior citizens. She specializes in conducting therapy sessions for health issues like diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, back and neck issues and scoliosis.
