Ashwini Rao, worked with Accenture as a Senior Software Engineer post her Bachelors Degree (B.E) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. However, she decided to pursue her passion in the field of fitness, Yogic Science and healing, whereby achieving YIC(Yoga Instructor's Course) and a Masters degree in Yoga - M.Sc from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (SVYASA) University, Bangalore.
Ashwini is passionate about Yoga and exploring its various styles. As part of her exploration, she pursued the "Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500 Hrs)from Yoga Alliance - USA" , course from Yogadarshanam, Mysore and has mastery in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha yoga. Ashwini has also explored the Iyengar Yoga style and blends the various styles of teaching during her yoga sessions.
She has been a passionate Yoga Instructor for over 5+ years, associated with Yoga Bharati and conducts classes for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level Yoga enthusiasts. She also conducts individual/group Yoga therapy sessions to heal various ailments. Over the years, Ashwini has conducted Prenatal/Postnatal yoga sessions at Maternity hospitals like Usha Vikrant, Chirag etc. She has also conducted Corporate classes for Yoga, mindfulness and Aerobics sessions at Accenture, McAfee, Cognizant, Phillips and others. For juniors, she conducts Kids Yoga and Bal Kendra (Bal Kendra includes Krida Yoga, Bhagavad Gita, shloka chanting, mythological/moral stories etc).
She is also a certified Sound Therapist and conducts regular group and individual sound therapy sessions. Ashwini is also a certified Pranic Healer and a Reebok Certified Aerobics instructor.
Ashwini yearns to be a continuous learner in the ocean of Yogic knowledge and channelize the learning and insights to the benefit of self and the pupils that she teaches. She also participates enthusiastically in Yoga Bharathi's drive to conduct free Pranayama and Rejuvenative Yoga sessions, which have been a big hit during the stressful pandemic era over 2020/21.
