Ravindra C Gaikwad was born and brought up in Nasik, Maharashtra, and is currently settled in Bangalore, which he considers his karma bhoomi. He completed his higher education with an MBA specializing in HR from Manipal University and is currently working at Dell Technologies as a Services Manager for a global team, with experience working for several multinational corporations.
Ravindra's journey into yoga began in 2017 at Brindavan Centre with a casual approach. Over time, he realized that yoga encompassed much more than physical activities and sought deeper knowledge about the spiritual, mental, and emotional aspects. In 2022, he completed the Yoga Teacher's Training course under the Yoga Bharati Foundation. He has been teaching yoga at the Yogabharati Center for the past year.
Ravindra's family has a strong social background. His grandfather, Late Shri Dadabhau Gaikwad, and his father, Late Shri Chandrakant K. Gaikwad, were dedicated to helping vulnerable people and communities facing everyday challenges in poverty. Their family started the Seva Foundation in Nashik to support underprivileged schools, hostels for kids, and learning centers. Growing up in such an environment instilled in Ravindra a commitment to serving society. Through Yogabharati, he spreads awareness of yoga, aiming to bring peace and harmony to his surroundings.
He is also the lead of the Seva Vibhaaga initiative of Yogabharati, which aims to spread yoga awareness to many NGOs, underprivileged sections, government officers, and employees, ensuring that holistic yoga is encouraged and practiced by all.
Ravindra has also achieved a black belt in Judo karate and won a gold medal in kickboxing at a national-level tournament held in 1997 at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium. Acting is his passion, and he has been associated with theatre, performing plays in Mumbai, Nasik, and Bangalore.
Currently, Ravindra conducts offline classes called "Yoga for Positive Health" for all age groups at Brindavan Centre in Bangalore.
His philosophy: "Be grateful to the man you help, think of him as God. Is it not a great privilege to be allowed to worship God by helping our fellow men." Swami Vivekananda
