Sumangala Bhat comes from a family of Sanskrit scholars and has always been fascinated by the wealth of wisdom in Sanskrit and Yoga. She has been practicing Yoga asanas since childhood which attracted her to explore Yoga holistically. Quest for deeper understanding of Yoga led her to Yoga Bharati which gave a solid foundation for learning and enhancing knowledge. Suma completed her Yoga Teachers Training from Yoga Bharati in 2016. While conducting Yoga sessions, she pursued Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy from VYASA. She has done her prenatal yoga certification under the guidance of Dr. Nagaratna and Dr. Lata Venkataraman.
She believes in “MODERATION IS THE KEY” on the mat and off the mat. Always appreciated by participants for a balanced approach between work out and working inwards. She has good experience in handling multilevel sessions, critical cases of cancer, post COVID cases, prenatal yoga sessions, back & neck health issues, menstrual disorders, people with diabetes, emotional distress and group therapy sessions. Successfully conducted voluntary yogic eyecare sessions for many people from rural areas. Enthusiastic and dedicated in spreading the essence of yoga to people from different strata of life. She is a post graduate in Commerce with UGC-NET qualification. Her passion towards yoga made her to embrace Yoga rather than the field of commerce. She is an enthusiastic nature lover, active terrace gardener and likes to visit the biologically diverse nature of Western Ghats.
