Balambika has been an ardent seeker in the spiritual path since her childhood and was introduced to the philosophy of Yoga during her school and college days. However, her career started as a software Engineer and she worked in the IT sector for nearly 10 years.
Balambika found a more fulfilling journey through volunteering as a teacher for special children. Her journey as a special Educator continues as she equipped herself as a Drama therapist for Autism from Velvi Institute, Madurai. The benefit of regular Yoga practice drew Bala to certify herself as a Yoga teacher/practitioner from YogaBharati and Yoga therapist from SVYASA. She continues to give therapy classes to individuals with special needs.
Bala believes in passing on our ancient Indic wisdom to the upcoming generations. As part of this, she served Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, UK for two years as a Balagokulam sevika. This path still continues for her as she serves Chinmaya mission, Bangalore as a Balavihar sevika.
Life has been opening up many possibilities for the Spiritual seeker in her. She has been part of Chinmaya study group. She also conducts workshops/story sessions through YogaBharati that enable her to share her learning and insights that our scriptures offer. Sustainable living is another area where Bala is drawn to. As an offering to this, she is involved in natural farming at a farm near Hosur. She facilitates Yoga/nature camps and workshops in the farm to enable one to connect to oneself. This beautiful gift of life is valuable for her and she tends to flow with this river, surrendering to its course.
